After checking with a local bakery to see if they could make a dairy-free and peanut-free cake for Riley's birthday, I found out that they don't actually bake the cake themselves (they have them shipped to them) and they only decorate them. So, I decided to bake a cake from scratch to insure that it's free from certain allergies/irritants.
I found the perfect recipe online and tried it out. I don't normally make too many things from scratch, but this one went pretty well. Once the cake was done, I decorated it was rosettes.
And since this my first real time decorating a cake, and I'm pretty proud of myself and the way it turned out. Everyone that I showed it to said that they really liked it.
