Riley's Birthday Invitations

This is what Riley's birthday party invitations look like:

I ordered the Cute as a Button 1st Birthday Invitations from Snapfish, and they're absolutely perfect for her party. On the back of the invites, we made a collage of several recent photos of her.

I LOVE how they turned out!

Ghost Tutu Costume

Check out the Halloween costume I made for Riley:

I used a Carter's onesie and cut up an old t-shirt of mine to make the face. To complete the look, I made a white tutu and a matching tulle headband (not pictured).

Riley looks so cute wearing it! :)

Picture Frame Makeover

I picked up two sweet little picture frames for about $4 each from Big Lots (what a steal!) thinking they would be perfect to "makeover" to use at Riley's birthday party. Of course, I thought they were absolutely adorable on their own -- only problem is that they were light blue and said, "little prince." (If they were pink and said princess instead, they would have been perfect, and I probably wouldn't want to do a thing to them.) But I really loved the style of the frame and the price was right, so I bought them!

Here's a "before" photo:

I painted both of them a gorgeous shade of pink to match Riley's birthday party colors.

And this is how it turned out:

Coming Soon -- Riley's 1st Birthday Bash!

My darling baby girl, Riley, will be turning one in just a few weeks time (on October 14).
(Aaahh, where has the time gone?! Can't believe she's going to be one so soon!)

In celebration of her 1st birthday, I'm super excited to announce that I'm putting together reviews and giveaways of the coolest toys, cute clothes/accessories, great children's products, party supplies/decorations and more!

We'll be having a small little celebration on her actual birthday, but her party won't be until the end of the month. So, I'm planning on having this blog event run from October 29 - November 2 or the first full week of November (that way Halloween/all of her party stuff/photo sessions are out of the way).

I am currently looking for/accepting sponsors for this event!

Buttons!

Planning for Riley's 1st birthday party has officially begun!

And buttons are the inspiration!

After quite a while of trying to decide what the theme for Riley's party should be, we finally decided that her party theme is going to be "cute as a button."

And the main colors will include: pink, turquoise, purple, and green.

I have so many ideas for decorations that I would love to make for her party. I even have two boards on Pinterest dedicated to party stuff - one for birthday party ideas in general and one for cute as a button themed party ideas. I've already started making a few decorations that I hope to share on the blog soon.
